Game shelves

There has been some reorganisation in the house and we’ve managed to pack in all the games I have into two big cupboards. Aarthi feels we don’t have that many games now! So I have a chance to increase my collection this year. Great

  1. Hey Sanjay,

Just clicked through to your gaming site. Didn’t realize it was all about board games, I just assumed it was all about world of warcraft and other online games.

Our family also enjoys playing board games, though we don’t do it with as much frequency.

Some favourites – The Ticket to Ride series, though the original one with the expansion pack was the best. Princes of Florence is good too, especially if you have 5 players – then you have to fight for resources.

Here’s some random recommendations of games I don’t see you mention here, but which our family really liked:
    Blockus – 2 to 4 players
    Abalone – 2 players
Flux ( this is a card game)

By the way, if you are playing TTR with just 2 to 3 players, here’s a tip for you – the 2 dot Lego pieces are the same size as the little trains. So we found that we could extend the enjoyment of the game by adding 10 extra trains using those lego pieces. And the colour of the lego pieces perfectly match the colour of the TTR trains.

Hope you try it out and let me know what you think.

  2. Try Qwirkle…Its a lot of fun 🙂
